End of week 9 and where has the time gone to???
But saying that I have had a great week getting some stuff finished at last.
My films regarding my interest in fire have been edited and ready to play on disc. yeeaaahhhh!
VIDEO FOR HYPNOTIC FIRE REFLECTION.
On this video I wrote the narrative and really just added sound effects and mixed the video with it. I say just. it has actually taken many hours to get what I wanted. The effects and narrative are supposed to be hypnotic the way I see the fire when I look upon it.
I have also almost brought the bedroom set to a close and projected onto it as I wanted too. Here are a few images of that.
There will also be a short film version once edited too.
Film & sound aside this week I have also been inducted into acid etching in the print room, this is a beautiful traditional method of Intaglio printing which gives tonal qualities that dry-point etching cannot. I completed the first stage of my plate which was-yes you've guessed it-Flames! I want to work on the plate more and etch deeper with the acid. This way of printing is a slow time consuming process but hopefully the outcomes are worth it. I look forward to working more with it next week.
The Utterby Church project is on standstill at the moment and I contacted Venal re: the loan of projection equipment and they were supposed to be getting back to me but as yet no contact. I hate the waiting game.!
This weekend is more researching, buying a web domain, a touch of sound play and some collagragh printing ...then on Monday a visit to Wootton school to discuss further a proposal for the kids art project with the church.
