This is it, this is the hand in week and really I have been trying to keep on top of the writing elements and get them printed, I stayed at home Monday morning and completed the actual printing of the documentation and as I stated last week the information was way beyond what was called for in the hand out. However I have collated everything and arranged the book in order and only used one professional practice proposal to enter into the books main content and I have placed the others in the appendix along with my entire blog journal. This will be great to look back on one day and laugh or cry at my writing.
I took the contents of my written work into college and used the binding machine on the premises, this was a struggle as I had so much stuff to bind, this was more like a tome than a journal ahahah. however I feel it was important to me to have all the work together as I had made the effort to do the work. Alas there is no binder big enough and I have had to split the books and have my blog separate. The books look ok and I might even get it published ahahah (joking).
Now work wise it has just been a technical struggle to get the wiring in place and out of site hard to do when you only have pretend walls! I used the edges of the carpet to hide the actual wiring that was on the floor and drilled the walls to feed the wire through. This made the space look tidier and there is now no unsightly wiring to view. A jolly good hoovering and the studio is the best it can get I suppose.
Today (Friday) it is the rest of the years presentations and I am looking forward to seeing what everyone else has done, I am glad mine is over and wish my colleagues luck with theirs.
I have also ordered some lovely printing paper along with Abi as I intend to make some prints over the summer and keep myself busy. There are also a few ideas about a year 2 exhibition in a pop up gallery around Grimsby in conjunction with Jackie White but ssshhhhh for now we have not had any meetings yet so I do not want to give too much away. All excited and nervous about finishing, my grades this year actually count towards my final degree so fingers crossed I have managed to achieve what I set out to do. I do feel that I have matured within my line of practice and also gained greater confidence to explain what it is I aim portray. And on that note I bid farewell and ta ta for now. I will update my blog regularly but it will need reinventing for next years term and a new look is on the cards and it will be changing gradually.
