2nd semester week 3

Much the same again this week with writing and creating, made some more wooden tears and covered these in fabric with images transferred to the inside of the cloth using decal paper. These images once illuminated will hopefully be almost dreamlike and transparent in look. I have also created 10 pages of text that are relevant to the stories and these are going on the outside of these tear shapes. It is a little tricky to work the decal onto fabric but I think it has worked on the samples that I have made.

The snow this week has caused a little disruption but still made it in to college and we had a meeting for the Berlin trip too and talked about a few of the places to visit, only two weeks to go then off and I'm getting well excited like a little kid, another meeting on Monday for the final arrangements then on with producing and hopefully finishing most of the wooden tears and try to get some filming done. One thing i have noticed whilst making these pieces is that each one could be a piece by itself and stand alone as a piece of work. Maybe there is room to use this as an installation too! time will tell.

This weekend will be catching up with my sketchbook and ideas and also trying to start my dissertation plan aarrggghhhhhh. Off to Sheffield on Sunday to see the family so I will have to make up for the day on Monday and be mega productive.
