4TH JUNE

I have had a busy busy fortnight with various happenings along the way. starting with my garden, I have hard landscaped the back garden due to the dogs ruining the lawn. it was hard work but I have managed to get it done within the sunny days the end of May brought.

During last week I paid a visit to Abbey Walk Gallery too, The exhibition that was on was by Judith Tucker, I missed the opening night and so I also missed meeting the artist herself but The work is really lovely. The paintings have the effect of being able to get lost within them searching for something behind the main scenery. The beach ones are really interesting too painted in a brilliant style and superb pearlescent colours that change as you walk around the gallery space.

a great exhibition, glad I made it.

Then a week last Friday it was the leaving 3rd years exhibition at western school. It was a brilliant show and was packed out from start to finish, I cannot really say any more to the girls apart from well done as the work speaks for itself. Everyone owned their spaces and every ones work was unique and drew visitors to the spaces. Martine Wainwrights space was the first I saw as I walked down the stairs, this made me feel all nostalgic as I reminisced about my scuba diving off the coasts of the Greek Islands, a beautiful and colourful display with some brilliant effects within the cones. Each space lead to the next very subtly and each persons work had something special to behold. All the hard work paid off for them and makes me feel nervous now as we are next in line for the big heave ho ahahha.

But that said the next meeting for out mini exhibition 'The Story So Far' will be on Weds this week and I have made some posters ready to take along to get the go ahead. Each set of poster will differ in picture arrangement as each artist will add a little something of their own work then they will be distributed.

This week I have been sorting some work out that I may be able to exhibit and will take some along to the meeting on weds.
