2nd Semester Week 7

This week as totally flown by and with not much production. Had a few 1-1's and a few classes and seem to be on track (famous last words) we never know until the grades come in...

My teardrop project seems to be complete it is just the setting up of the piece now that is my concern. The piece will be hung for best display in my opinion with key lighting and sound, i think the sound may be better placed with headphones and then the viewer has the choice to listen or not, this decision was made after realising this maybe going into a small gallery space and could become quite annoying if on a constant loop and audible. That's the thing with us artists we have to constantly solve problems that pop up in every scenario.

I have been taking a few photographs of the pieces just to get a feel for them in another environment,I have also used voil that is tattered and torn to slightly cover the pieces to add some atmosphere to the images.

This experiment was done just purely for aesthetical theory alone and in the gallery they will be hung purely within a circular arrangement with a direct light above and below and headphones for the sound piece.

Other work this weeks seems to be about the lightworks festivities, Tweeting, Blogging, Facebooking etc etc. this is promotion of the night and various methods have been used on various media and socialising networks. I have been gathering imagery from the design students projects and from my trip to Berlin and been randomly posting these all over the net promoting the lightworks name and logo for the big night. This following week will be the lead up to lightworks and the big night on Friday 16th March. where i will be from around 10am until 11pm-ish i will be live tweeting and hopefully getting some great pics to tweet and facebook. The college time will be used to get my arty pieces together and get them in some sort of displaying order.
